Save the Date for CEC’s Council Session and JPAC Public Forum (#CEC32) To Be Held On 24–25 July 2025, in Mexico City, Mexico
Mark your calendars! The Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) invites you to its 32nd annual Council Session and Joint Public Advisory Committee (JPAC) Public Forum, taking place on 24-25 July in Mexico City.
Each year, the CEC Council Session brings together the top environmental officials from Canada, Mexico and the United States to discuss regional environmental priorities and engage with the public. On 25 July, Secretary Alicia Bárcena of Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) will host her counterparts from Canada and the United States for these critical discussions.
On 24 July, JPAC will hold a Public Forum, offering a unique opportunity for remote and in-person participants to engage in dynamic conversations on pressing environmental issues. The forum will bring together Indigenous and community leaders, subject matter experts, business leaders, youth and others to share insights and solutions for conserving and protecting North America’s biodiversity and natural resources.
#CEC32 will be open to the public, free of charge and live streamed with simultaneous interpretation in English, French and Spanish. The full agenda and registration details will be available in May.
Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with environmental leaders and be part of the conversation shaping North America’s environmental future!
