
Rosalind Helfand
Rosalind Helfand advises UN Women's Economic Empowerment section on the Rio Conventions and is the former Thematic Lead of the Feminist Action for Climate Justice (FACJ) Action Coalition, a global multistakeholder partnership convened by UN Women under Generation Equality. Rosalind is also the co-founder of the California Global Biodiversity Working Group and the Global Green Recovery Collaborative. Based in Los Angeles, California, she previously led regionally-focused reproductive justice, women's leadership, environmental justice, and human rights initiatives as well as multistakeholder collaborations. Rosalind has contributed to such publications as UN Women's Working Paper on "Advancing Gender-responsive Synergies Across the Rio Conventions," the FACJ Action Coalition's "61 Stories of Change," and "Youth activists' perspectives on climate, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and gender inequality," which was published in The Lancet Planetary Health. Rosalind holds a master’s degree in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge.
