Airports, 2026
This map shows the main airports across the North American region that have either an ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) or IATA (International Air Transport Association) code. The airports are categorized as Large, Medium, or Small. Large airports are those handling more than 1 million passengers per year, based on 2024 passenger records sourced mainly from the Airports Council International (ACI), the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), and individual airport reports.
American airports include the North American mainland, Hawaii, and the Caribbean. Others, i.e., Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands, are not included.
