Sabaa Khan
Dr. Sabaa Khan (DCL, LL.M., LL.L) is Director General for Québec and Atlantic Canada at the David Suzuki Foundation. She also directs the Foundation’s national climate change portfolio. An attorney member of the World Commission on Environmental Law (IUCN) and the Barreau du Québec, she has held several advisory appointments in environmental and trade governance, including on the NAFTA Advisory Council on Environment (Government of Canada). She is co-editor and author of the collective volume, La nature de l’injustice: Racisme et inégalités environnementales (Les éditions Écosociété). Her legal research and opinions have been widely published, including by the Nordic Council of Ministers, the United Nations University - Institute for Sustainability and Peace, the Leiden Journal of International Law, and the Conference of the Four Societies of international law. She is also a national steering committee member of the National Association of Women and the Law, where she presides as Chair of the Climate Crisis Working Group.
