Join us for the launch of the new CEC guides on Nature-based Solutions (NBS), a set of four new publications designed to support the uptake of NBS to reduce coastal flood risks in North American communities.
These guides cover topics of NBS co-benefits, retrofitting existing infrastructure using NBS, monitoring the efficacy of NBS and NBS monitoring methodologies. They provide practical tools that will support decision-making and present case studies to help planners, practitioners, and decision-makers to integrate NBS in their coastal flood risk management strategies. Developed through trinational collaboration, the series responds to the growing interest in solutions that work with nature to reduce risks, as well as protecting ecosystems and enhancing community resilience.
During this webinar, participants will learn about the content of the guides and how they can be used in real-world contexts across Canada, Mexico and the United States. Whether you work in urban planning, engineering, conservation or community resilience, this session will offer valuable resources and inspiration for enhancing your coastal community’s responses to flood risk management with NBS.
This webinar will be delivered in English, with simultaneous interpretation to English, French and Spanish.
