Dr. Ingrid Waldron is a professor and HOPE Chair in Peace and Health at McMaster University, Founder and Executive Director of The ENRICH Project, and Co-Founder of the Canadian Coalition for Environmental and Climate Justice. Her research examines the health impacts of social inequalities, focusing on environmental racism, climate change, and mental health in Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities. Dr. Waldron’s advocacy, including her book There’s Something in the Water and a Netflix documentary, has raised awareness of environmental racism. She co-developed Canada’s first environmental racism bills and has received numerous awards for her work.
