Gustavo Sánchez Valle

A native of Sayula, Jalisco, Mexico, Gustavo Sánchez Valle is an agricultural engineer, specializing in agricultural economics, who holds an MA in Regional Rural Development from Capingo Autonomous University. Currently, he is president of the Executive Committee of the Mexican Network of Peasant Forestry Organizations (Red MOCAF), as well as secretary of the Board of Directors of the Mesoamerican Alliance of Peoples and Forests (AMPB). He is also a member of the following bodies: Board of Directors of the Mesoamerican Territorial Fund; Steering Committee of the Community Land Rights and Conservation Finance Initiative; Board of Directors of the Rights and Resources Initiative; Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities Advisory Committee of the ART Architecture for REDD+ Transactions Program; Global Committee on Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities of the Governors’ Climate and Forests Task Force; and Board of Directors of the UN-REDD+ Program.
