Erika Hernández Mariaca

Erika Hernández Mariaca is a woman from the Nahua Indigenous people of Cuentepec, Morelos, Mexico, and an activist. She is part of the Indigenous Futures Network, working on the construction and communication of narratives around the climate crisis. She is a co-founder of Cuentepec Tosepan, a collective dedicated to the defense of territory, and is a member of the Unification of Peoples and Colonies against Mining in Morelos. Currently, she specializes in environmental education from a popular approach with an intercultural perspective and in strengthening the Nahuatl language. She holds a degree in Social Work from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos.
