Emiliano Reyes supports climate action at various levels, as well as emphasizing climate justice, intersectionality, intergenerational equity, gender equality, resilience, and just transitions. As a young leader with experience in multilateral negotiations, he has been Mexico’s delegate in the G20, and was lead adaptation negotiator in the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for the Mexican Delegation. He collaborated with the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) as an expert at the 2SLGBTQIA+, in the Environmental Justice Dimensions Roundtable in North America, and as an author in the discussion paper on the same topic. He has provided guidance to youth initiatives within the Climatón UNAM, Resilient Youth with the German Embassy, and the GELP with the CEC, aiding in the development of solutions to address the climate crisis. Currently, he works as a Technical Advisor on Climate Change at the German Development Cooperation (GIZ), specializing in climate policy.
