Apooyak’ii/Dr. Tiffany Hind Bull-Prete, a member of the Kainai (Blood Tribe) of the Blackfoot Confederacy in Treaty 7 territory, is the Tier II Canada Research Chair in Indigenous Resiliency and an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Lethbridge. Her work centers on implementing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action on the Blood Reserve. An alumna of the University of Alberta, she has received notable honors, including the SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellowship and the University of Calgary’s Provost’s Award for Indigenous and Black Scholars. Her award-winning research addresses the impacts of colonization, intergenerational trauma, and Indigenous education, and is highlighted by the exhibit Stolen Kainai Children: Stories of Survival.
