North American Protected Areas
It’s #MapMonday! Did you know there are over 250,000 terrestrial and marine protected areas in North America, covering more than 15 million square kilometers, including 41 UNESCO Biosphere Reserves and 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites?!
The Commission for Environmental Cooperation just published an updated map layer of these protected areas on its North American Environmental Atlas.
