This webinar will present initial findings from CEC research on the organic waste diversion and processing efforts in North America, and communicate key obstacles and gaps that constrain use of expanded organic waste recovery in industrial, anaerobic digestion and composting operations. It will also present relevant policy options and instruments for industry, government and local organizations, the most significant needs for best practices and tools, and partnership opportunities. Factors in place that have allowed for successful implementation of existing programs and facilities will be examined and case studies for Canada, Mexico and the United States will be highlighted.
This webinar also seeks to get stakeholders’ feedback on CEC research preliminary findings. Material to be reviewed at the webinar will be sent to registered participants prior to the webinar.
