International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies: Sharing the Air in North America
Washington, DC.
United States
September 7, 2022
10:00-11:30 am EDT
Public
In celebration of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies, the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, alongside the World Resources Institute (WRI) and United Nations Environment Programme North America, invites the public to join Sharing the Air in North America, a regional dialogue focusing on the far-reaching and transboundary impact of air pollution. The event, hosted on 7 September 2022 from 10:00-11:30am EDT, serves as an opportunity to raise awareness on the urgency of boosting national action, as well as regional and international collaboration on air quality in North America and beyond.
During the dialogue, key policymakers, advocates, and researchers will discuss topics relating to air quality policy, regional collaboration, and innovative approaches to addressing air quality in economically disadvantaged communities. In addition, the event will offer key lessons learned from North American air quality program development and implementation, with a view toward supporting policymakers and decisionmakers in other parts of the world.
This hybrid event will be available in English, French and Spanish.
