Expert Consultation on Organic Waste Diversion and Processing

Through the North American Initiative on Organic Waste Diversion and Processing, the CEC seeks to build knowledge necessary to reduce the amount of organic waste—including food waste—disposed of in landfills and associated methane emissions in North America. The consultation will bring together experts from academia, government, and the private sector to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities for reducing, recovering, diverting and processing organic waste.
