Expert Consultation on Food Waste Reduction and Recovery

Through the North American Initiative on Food Waste Reduction and Recovery, the CEC seeks to build knowledge necessary to promote reduction and recovery of wasted food within North American industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors in “upstream” activities (i.e., source reduction, feeding hungry people, and feeding animals) that target food before it becomes a waste. The consultation will bring together experts from academia, government, and the private sector to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities for reducing and recovering food waste.
