Environmentally Sound Management of Hazardous Waste
Hazardous materials move through our borders every day in the form of spent lead-acid batteries, ozone-depleting substances and many others. We work with industry and enforcement officials to raise the standard for hazardous waste management. We provide educational tools and facilitate collaboration between enforcement agencies, supporting North American commitments under the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Waste and their Disposal.
