Approval of use of surplus funds from financial year 2005 for operational expenses and certain other expenditures
THE COUNCIL:
HEREBY AGREES that pending approval of the budget and operational plan for 2006, the Secretariat may use until March 31, 2006 surplus funds from financial year 2005 for the following 2006 financial year expenditures: operational expenses (for example, rent, salaries, office supplies, telecommunications, relocation costs, fiscal services insurance), not to exceed C$500,000.00, and all expenses related to the March 28-29, 2006 JPAC Meeting in Vancouver, B.C. (for example, travel expenses, meeting expenses) and Secretariat participation at the JPAC and GLOBE meetings in Vancouver, B.C. during the week of March 27-31, 2006, (for example, travel and accommodation) not to exceed C$120,000.00.
FURTHER NOTES that, once the budget and operational plan for year 2006 is approved, any amounts taken from year 2005 surplus funds must be restored.
