Appointment of Acting Executive Director
THE COUNCIL:
NOTING that the position of Executive Director of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) is presently vacant;
FURTHER NOTING that the Council has initiated the search process to lead to the appointment by the Council of the next Executive Director in accordance with Article 11(1) of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (NAAEC); and
DETERMINED to ensure that the CEC Secretariat continue to operate without disruption until the Council appoints the new Executive Director;
HEREBY:
DECIDES to appoint Victor Shantora to serve as Acting Executive Director of the CEC Secretariat pursuant to CEC Employment Rule 4.3.
