Strengthening Conservation and Sustainable Production of Selected CITES’ Appendix II Species in North America
Operational Plan 2015 - 2016
Promoting the legal and sustainable trade of North American species protected under Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora Appendix II
The trade of animal and plant species in North America is a multimillion-dollar business. However, illegal harvesting of wildlife threatens the survival of certain species, as well as, the livelihood of the communities that depend on them. Through our work we are helping promote legal and sustainable trade while supporting the commitments made under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora.
We contribute to the to the legal, sustainable and traceable production and trade in these selected species.
