About the EWGIn 1996, the Council of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC) established the North American Working Group on Environmental Enforcement and Compliance Cooperation (Enforcement Working Group or EWG) pursuant to Resolution 96-06.The Enforcement Working Group is a network of environmental enforcement officials from Canada, Mexico, and the United States who work to strengthen environmental enforcement and compliance cooperation across North America. Representatives on the Work Group include representatives from, Environment Canada’s Environmental Enforcement Directorate, Mexico's Attorney General for Environmental Enforcement, United States Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance.
