Resolutions and Decisions
A Council Resolution represents and defines an agreement signed by the Council members or their alternate representatives on the terms and procedures to deal with an issue of significance to the three Parties.
Instruction to the Secretariat of the Commission for Environmental Cooperation regarding submission SEM-13-001 (Tourism Development in the Gulf of California) in connection with the assertions that Mexico is failing to effectively enforce provisions of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance Especially as Waterfowl Habitat (“Ramsar Convention)”; the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (“World Heritage Convention”); the General Ecological Balance and Environmental Protection Act (Ley General del Equilibrio Ecológico y la Protección al Ambiente—LGEEPA);
On 27 January 2015, the Council decided unanimously to instruct the Secretariat not to prepare a factual record with respect to submission SEM-10-002 (Alberta Tailings Ponds).
On 9 December 2014, the Council decided by a two-thirds vote to instruct the Secretariat not to prepare a factual record with respect to submission SEM-12-001 (British Columbia (BC) Salmon Farms).
On 17 July 2014, the Council signed Council resolution 14-08 establishing the annual budget of the CEC for 2015 at US$9 million.
On 8 July 2014, the Council decided to instruct the Secretariat to prepare a factual record with respect to submission SEM-09-002 (Wetlands in Manzanillo).
On 23 June 2014, the Council directed the Secretariat to make public the factual record for submission SEM-04-005 (Coal-fired Power Plants).
On 10 June 2014, the Council decided to instruct the Secretariat to prepare a factual record with respect to submission SEM-11-002 (Sumidero Canyon II)
On 5 June 2014, the Council decided by a two-thirds vote to instruct the Secretariat not to prepare a factual record with respect to submission SEM-11-003 (Protection of Polar Bears).

On 15 May 2014, the Council directed the Secretariat to make public the factual record for submissions SEM-06-003 (Ex Hacienda El Hospital II) and SEM-06-004 (Ex Hacienda El Hospital III).
On 30 April 2014, the Alternate Representatives signed Council resolution 14-02 authorizing the extension of deadline for use of 2013 funds.
